The IBA Election 2022 for the Secretary General of the IBA has ended on 2nd of November, and I was duly elected as Secretary General of the IBA.
Please allow me to thank you for your support and trust I received from Kosova Chamber of Advocates / Kosovo Bar Association and from you. With the following video I want to express my gratitude once more.
It has been a great honor to listen and to learn, to exchange ideas, to discuss the future of the IBA and how the underutilized power of the Bar Associations, Bar Councils and Law Societies united in the IBA can be unleashed for the benefit of the Legal Profession, the IBA itself, and around the world.
As we all agree Bar Associations, Bar Councils and Law Societies must be independent, self-regulated professional organizations, protecting the Rule of Law, serving society, fending off infringements of regulators, governments and challenges posed by technology.
We will be able to achieve this by working together, recognizing the contributions made by all parts of IBA, including the significant contributions of the Membership Organizations.
Together we can unleash the true power of our vocation as lawyers, the true power of the Rule of Law.
Together, we will make the IBA, the True Global Voice of the Legal Profession, an united voice heard around the world loud and clear!
I will not forget my commitments, I will do my best to live up to the expectations and will reach out to you soon.
